Women without Borders/SAVE Newsletter, February 11th 2010

Dear Women without Borders, dear friends,

We would like to invite you to two amazing events that we have organized leading up to our internal SAVE – Sisters Against Violent Extremism working conference at the end of February and in the time before International Women´s Day on March 8th.

On February 25th, we will host a panel discussion in cooperation with the US Embassy in Vienna: “Pakistan and Yemen in Crisis: Female Voices from the Ground." Two SAVE Sisters will talk about the current situation in these two countries: Nadia Al-Sakkaf from Sana´a, Yemen, Editor in Chief of the Yemen Times, and Arshi Saleem Hashmi, an expert in Religion, Politics, and Violent Conflict from Islamabad, Pakistan.

On March 1st, we invite you to join us at the opening of the exhibition “Cartoons in Conflict." Women without Borders/SAVE is organizing this event together with the Parents Circle, a grassroots organization that brings bereaved Palestinian and Israeli families together to promote dialogue and reconciliation. It will take place in the foyer of the Radisson BLU Palais Hotel.
In this exhibition, cartoonists from around the world use art to respond to the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Please click on the links below in order to learn more about these events.

We are looking forward to welcoming you on both occasions!

With best regards,
Edit Schlaffer and the Women without Borders Team
