The Summer Academy Traunkirchen takes place at the first time from August 3 to September 13, 2008 at the historical premises of the convent in the local centre.
The Summer Academy Traunkirchen invites artists, everyone interested in fine arts and commited art admirers in painting, drawing and photography/media to follow the tradition and to explore the cosmopolitan spirit of the picturesque village again.
The lecturers of six classes, each of which lasts two weeks, are well-known artists Tone Fink, Maria Hahnenkamp, Peter Hauenschild and Georg Ritter, Xenia Hausner, Alois Mosbacher and Katharina Sieverding.
The courses address professional artists, art students and committed art admirer.

August 31 – 13:
Katharina Sieverding – photography / Tone Fink – drawing
An opening event takes place in the evening of August, 3 in the Convent Hall.
Parallel to the daily classes students and interested people can visit varied, multi-sector events, for example, workshop and gallery discussions in cooperation with Gmunden Festival and Gallery 422. Intensive dealing of students with the lecturing artists is possible during the special, weekly lecture and discussion sequences.
